Sick Day!!

I’m realizing how badly I need a laptop!!! I could get sooooooooo much done if I could just work from the couch or the bed! I could totally make this sick day worth so much more. But for now coming down to the office and sitting at my desk is not too bad.

So I know that I’m not suppose to be doing much today besides relaxing and trying to get better but I can’t help just walk around the house and inspect things that need to be done. I can’t at least make a list right??!?! Well in my inspection, I realize that I have a few obsessions in my life that just maybe (really, maybe) are out of control! You ready for this?!?!

COATS – yes, yes, I reported last week that I counted 14 of them in the coat closet but that does not even account for all the sweater coats that I have as well as the additional fleeces upstairs in my closet. I definitely need to purge a few a donate them, especially because I’m really wanting a new winter white coat!!

CANDLES – So maybe I’ve let this leak out there as well, but I’m obsessed with the home fragrance Lilac Blossom from Bath and Body Works. They discontinued this scent last summer so I started buying it in bulk. I have 17 candles waiting to be burned right now. I stashed these on top of the cabinets to keep them out of the way but when i looked up there, I had not realized how many were there. Now I do think this is a much needed obsession since we have five hairy, smelly, pugs that run around the house at all times. I would NEVER want to have my house smell like dog and luckily I get a lot of compliments on how nice our home does smell, so bring on the Lilac Blossom! BTW, it is back on the shelves at BBW!

THROW PILLOWS – Now this one might be a hair much. I have an upstairs linen closet that I call my “linen store”!! Its great, I can just pick and chose what linens I want to change out and I don’t have to pay for any of it! I have two shelves worth of just throw pillows. Its a great way to change up the feel of a room. While a have two full shelves (approximately a 15-16 actual pillows), I walk around and realize that there are twice that already out in the house (couches, chairs, beds, etc.). I”ll hold off before I buy anymore pillows these days.

OFFICE SUPPLIES – You know you are dork when you ask for office supplies for christmas and birthdays!! I just love nice pens, post-its, and my LABEL MAKER!!!!!

PUGS – Yeah, yeah everyone already knows about this one, no need to elaborate!

I’m sure there are others but those are the ones that glared at me when I took note of stuff today!!
